The Evolution of Perfection is a fitting tagline for the longest-standing, most decorated full-face helmet model in the SHOEI lineup, the RF. The process of improving is a constant evolution, and with a world-class team of designers and engineers leading the charge, we pushed our resources and technologies to the brink, utilizing our state-of-the-art wind tunnel facility, an extensive array of proprietary materials, and the industry’s most stringent quality assurance practices to develop the all-new RF-1400. SHOEI’s lightest and most compact SNELL-approved full-face helmet model, the RF-1400 has evolved the pursuit of perfection to the next level.
Shoei helmets are the longest-standing, most decorated full-face helmets on the market and yours will provide you years of protection, comfort and style!
Whether you are a track day enthusiast or cross-country cruiser, the RF-1400 will allow you to ride with confidence, freeing you to concentrate on the road and, most importantly, enjoy the ride.
Slim And Light Weight Design
Shoei has reduced the weight of the RF-1400 by using a slimmer design and building a distinct line into the side of the helmet that also serves as an accent.
The slim design of the Shoei RF-1400, with its distinct accent cut line, widens the bottom of the helmet to help ease the process of putting the RF-1400 on or taking it off.
Through advancements in the aerodynamic shape, improved interior linings, and a new and improved shield system the rider will experience a very quiet and comfortable riding experience.
The CWR-1 Pinlock shield features ribs on the top and bottom of the shield to improve rigidity and eliminate bending of the shield caused by wind pressure or the opening and closing of the shield. The Quick-Release Self-Adjusting base plate is spring-loaded and pulls the shield back onto the helmet, sealing it tightly against wind and rain. The addition of a five-stage rotating dial allows for fine-tuning of the base plate for easy shield adjustments.
A large lower three-position vent, three upper air vent intakes, and four uniquely positioned upper exhaust outlet vents combine with the Dual Density EPS liner to allow cooling air to travel unrestricted through tunnels created in the EPS liner.

How To Measure Your Head Size
To determine where you fall on SHOEI's sizing chart (as a starting point for proper helmet fit), pass a soft, flexible tape measure horizontally around your head at a height of approximately one inch (2.5cm) above your eyebrows (the largest measurement around your forehead).
Select the helmet size that is closest to your head measurement from the sizing guidelines above. If your head measurement falls between two helmet sizes, first try on the smaller of the two helmets.
